What is it?
What is an Android TV BOX? An Android TV Box is basically a mini computer that allows you to use apps to stream content to your TV. The Google TV Streamer is the latest in streaming technology. These modified (Jailbroken) TV Streamers unlock the restrictions that are factory set on regular retail Google products.
Is this legal? Yes! Canada's copyright act prohibits unauthorized downloading of copyrighted content, but viewers using a TV Streamer are only streaming, not downloading.
Know before you buy!
There are plenty of different boxes out on the market to choose from with different price levels. The cheaper (low end) boxes offer 1GB RAM/8GB ROM, and usually have an operating system on Android 10 or lower. These are "Slow" boxes, that will give you lots of buffering. Google TV Streamers allow you to update the software when updates are available and provided by Google.
