What is an Android TV BOX? An Android TV Box is basically a mini computer that allows you to use apps to stream content to your TV. The Google Chromecast is the latest in streaming technology. These modified (Jailbroken) Chromecasts unlock the restrictions that are factory set on regular retail Chromecasts.
Is this legal? Yes! Canada's copyright act prohibits unauthorized downloading of copyrighted content, but viewers using a Chromecast are only streaming, not downloading.
There are plenty of different boxes out on the market to choose from with different price levels. The cheaper (low end) boxes offer 1GB RAM/8GB ROM, and usually have an operating system on Android 5 or lower. These are "Slow" boxes, that will give you lots of buffering. Google Chromecasts allow you to update the software when updates are available and provided by Google.
TV Box Canada offers unlimited support for our customers. In the box packaging you will receive instructions to our "Private" Facebook group which we use to answer any questions, and post links with step-by-step install instructions for any new Apps that are released that we feel our customers may enjoy!
